Friday Telehealth Tip: Thinking of Adding AI to Your Practice?

Hi Reader,

Telehealth Tip of the Day: Build a Strong Foundation Before AI

AI is already reshaping healthcare—improving scheduling, triaging patients, and even supporting documentation. But here’s the truth: before you can safely adopt AI tools, your telehealth practice needs a rock-solid technology foundation.

That means:

  • Using a HIPAA-compliant video platform (with a signed BAA).
  • Having secure data storage and backups in place.
  • Training staff on patient privacy and compliance.

Why? Because AI is only as safe as the system it’s built on. If your telehealth tech isn’t secure, adding AI could expose you to compliance risks.

Tip: Before testing or rolling out AI, do a quick audit of your telehealth setup to make sure it’s secure, scalable, and compliant.

If you’d like help assessing your foundation before layering on AI, let’s talk.

Consistent reminders are proven to reduce no-shows by up to 30%. Each reminder should have the link to join the...

They went to learn how to help people. But when your day-to-day is filled with admin work, frozen video calls, and tech that doesn’t talk to each other, it’s easy to feel like your practice is running you — not the other way around. After more than a...

Hi Reader, Telehealth Tip Friday — AI Clinical Notes If you’re testing AI for documentation, start simple: Pick one visit type — your most common, like a 50-minute therapy session. Create one template — decide what you want back (Summary, Plan, Codes, etc.). Do one quality check — review 10 notes for accuracy and tone, then lock in what works. Pro tip: If you're adding AI clinical notes to your practice, add a short note to your intake packet explaining that an AI assistant may help draft...
